Here are Yvonne’s tips to ensure that you get
the most from your online consultation.
Provide specific and accurate room dimensions, furniture sizes, etc.
Get out your tape measure! If you have questions about your window treatment
make sure that your provide accurate window dimensions and clear photos.
Be exact with furniture, window and door locations.
Provide a layout of the existing space and furniture. If you don’t have drawing software
it’s a good idea to use graph paper to hand-draw the space to scale (typically 1/4 inch = 1 foot).
Then scan your drawing so you can upload it for Yvonne to see.
Upload photos to provide a panoramic visual of the room or area, as well as
important details.
Our site will accept most formats, including ‘gif’, ‘jpeg’ and ‘CAD’. The best format is ‘jpeg’
and digital cameras usually have this format. Crop the image to eliminate any areas that
are not central to your questions. If you are familiar with photo editing software, scale the
image to a width and length of at least 365 pixels (this size is right for our viewing and
uploads faster than a larger photo). Save your files at 72 dpi at ‘high’ quality. If you can,
sharpen the photos before you upload them.
